Dental Hygienist

Kathy has been at ProtoDental for 30 years. Kathy began her career as a dental assistant before entering the field of dental hygiene. She has been associated with a variety of dental specialties including Periodontics, Pedodontics, Orthodontics and Public Health Dentistry. Kathy received her Applied Science Degree in 1978 from SUNY at Farmingdale. She maintains infection control and CPR with AED certifications currently by taking dental continuing education courses. Kathy is certified to administer local anesthesia in the practice of Dental Hygiene in the State of New York and is a member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. She was also a consultant with Zila Therapies, a dental supply manufacturer. Her goal is to educate patients and provide them with the tools necessary to improve their dental health and general well-being.
