Christopher Proto, D.D.S.

Dr. Proto received his Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University in 1976 as a Biology major. Graduating cum laude from Georgetown University School of Dentistry, Dr. Proto received his degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery in 1981. He was elected to membership in Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. Dr Proto completed the prestigious two year continuing education implant curriculum at New York University College of Dentistry in June of 2011 and is now on staff as a Clinical Instructor. As evidence of his belief that the practice of dentistry is an ever-changing discipline, Dr. Proto was recognized by the New York State Dental Association in 2015 for having completed 1,000 hours of continuing dental education.

Dr. Proto has had restorative techniques published in the Journal of the American Dental Association, was featured twice in Dental Economics and had an article on socket grafting published in Dental Products Report. He is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, a member of the Suffolk County Dental Society, the New York Dental Association and a member of the American Dental Association. Dr. Proto has been in private practice since 1981. He remains active in the community and is a past president of the Babylon Rotary Club, and was co-chair of the Babylon Village Historic Fountain Reconstruction Project. A husband and father of one son, Dr. Proto continues to provide comprehensive surgical, restorative and esthetic treatment in his Babylon Village office.
