Dr. Andrew Proto joined ProtoDental as an associate dentist in August of 2022, after completing a year of postdoctoral residency training in general dentistry through the New York University Langone Dental Medicine Advanced Education in General Dentistry Program. As a resident, Dr. Andrew trained in Marietta, Ohio, providing dental care to an underserved patient population within the Appalachian region of the United States. Dr. Andrew earned the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine. He also holds bachelor’s degrees from Fordham University and Columbia University, having an undergraduate academic background in economics and business administration in addition to the biological sciences.

A Babylon native and a graduate of Chaminade High School in Mineola, Dr. Andrew’s interests and hobbies include fitness, reading, playing music, traveling, surfing, fishing and spending time on the East End of Long Island and in New York City. He is a self-confessed “foodie,” and is a fan of both New York and Buffalo professional sports teams.
